Giada D2301 HTPC ION2 i3/i5/i7
#1
I have been (seemingly) foolishly waiting for the AT5IONT-I Deluxe to arrive on the market to build my next HTPC and now I feel that there might be something better. I originally thought a custom build was going to be the way to go or I was leaning toward the Asus's Eee Box. I kept thinking that the Atom was not going to be enough to some light games and process light video and picture editing from the comfort of my living room HDTV. It appears that soon a nettop computer will fulfill my HTPC needs. Giada D2301 has the Next Generation ION graphics (ION2) while giving me the flexibility to have a faster processor. I will also be interested in the model that has the bluray drive.

I would like to open this thread for people to add comments and thoughts about this new product about to hit the market. I am getting excited for this as my current HTPC just died and my wife is buggen me to get it replaced. I would love to know when this will be released (availible on Newegg hopefully) and how it compares to other small HTPC options out there.

I would like to keep the comparisons of the Giada D2301 to miniITX MB builds and Nettops/miniPCs like Eee or Asrock.

I look forward to all of your comments.

$581, no blu-ray , no HD Tuner card is still very expensive in my opinion. I was hopping this would be in $350-400 range. I'm not sure who would pay this kind of money for this device.
