Movie trailers

Have been testing movie trailers for some days now, first there was some cache trashing issues which have been solved in some of the latest builds. Trailers work better now, but still the trailers randomly buffers.

Have been trying to adjust trailer quality, rescrape, different scrapers, but nothing seem to solve it. So I have some questions:

- If I set 480p quality trailer scraping, will it only search for that quality or might it take a 720p?
- Is there some place where I can see where it tries to stream from?
- Is there some way to make it buffer for a longer period of time before starting the trailer?
- Do you have any other tricks to make trailers play without buffering more than once?

btw: using Dharma v35615, win7.

Beleive it or not, hd-trailers.net trailer scraping happens to scrape from hd-trailers.net

Yes, but hd-trailers.net just link to the trailers and doesn't host them as far as I can tell. So there can be different sources, or am I wrong?

Checked the log after trying to play a trailer for toy story 3 and that trailer seemed to be streamed from a yahoo playlist. Tried the same link in a browser and I got about 200-350kb dl, just too slow to be able to stream. Also found the trailer quality to be 480p in the log.

Is there some way I can set xbmc to buffer for, let's say 30sec, before playing?

why dont you just manually download the trailer of your choice quality wise

and place it in your movie folder?

Seems like that will save me some trouble. I was hoping to avoid setting up couchpotato, sab to dl and sort, but it might be easier to do that.

Thanks anyway Smile

I've set up Cinema Experience to play my intro, coming attractions and three 720p trailers. Sometimes in the middle of playing a trailer it stops the video and buffers for a few seconds (and I'm on a 25 mbps line). I, too, would like to be able to set the buffering myself for a few extra seconds before the trailer starts.
