[RELEASE] Cinema Experience - the new Home Theater Experience Script

Hello ,

I rather new to this and I really wanted to use this addon. The problem is that in my xbmc the addon is marked as "broken" what does that mean , How can I install it.

I use openelec with the last Version of Eden ( autoupdate enabled) .

Thanks! Works now! Just trying to get the Movie Quiz to work now! Which folder do you have the slides? I have like "slide1_a.jpg" "slide1_b.jpg" will automatic change the slides or do I need slides.xml!

You will need to install the one from the first page(install zip file) and give it a try again.

Not sure if the Movie Quiz script works with Cinema Experience. The slides need to be in a folder, if the slides are Q&A slides, they need to have their own sub folder. They need a slides.xml file for the script to sort questions/answers. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...#pid664143

There is documentation regarding home automation and this script, including a fully functional home_automation.py for the script as well.

Hi I have a simple question or more. I'm getting ready to implement this but I have some confusion concerning file names for the video files that go into their respective folders. I would like to know if I have to, or should rename files that go into for example, Movie Theatre Intro. If I wanted the files Curtain and another file Feature Presentation in the same folder, would CE play them in order? As to say, Curtain - Feature Presentation - Movie.........? And also can it randomize the videos say for Coming Attractions Intro/Outro or Intermissions? Also, (I know I'm asking a lot lol) For Audio, should the files have the type of sound in the file name? For example: Dolby TrueHD 5.1 is the sound output for the movie but the file name is Broadway 2010.vob (example from http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/high-d...lers.php). Leave as is or make it like this....Broadway 2010 Dolby TrueHD 5.1.vob ? I've tried searching and didn't come up with a clear answer or just didn't use a good search term. Any help to clarify this is greatly appreciated.

The only files that require special consideration to the file name is Local Trailers. They need '-trailer'. All others are chosen by folders that are set in the settings. Audio intros are special since they require properly named sub folders, the main folder can be named anything.

The folder layout on the first page is a good pattern to follow(especially the Audio)

Hey Everyone,

I've got a problem with cinema experience. I installed everything correct and have the right folder structure. The only problem is that the actual movie doesn't start after the intro's and trailers. it says ''can't find a next item to play''. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I need a full debug log to figure anything out. Also be sure that you are using the version from this thread, 2.0.53 -> http://www.mediafire.com/file/3s3l2g3pvm...2.0.53.zip
