I want to set a download location for icefilms... And have gone to add on settings, but the only thing I can choose for a download folder is a local location on the atv2 itself.

I want tonsave from icefilms direct to smb share on my nas drive. I already watch films from my nas, just want to be able to save direct to it.

I don't mind if it's through the gui or by ssh'ing in and editing files...

Thanks

I don't think that the ATV2 OS supports what they call "symbolic links" to non-local drives. I'm not sure of this at all. I don't have an ATV2 but I think thats your problem.

As I understand you either you have to live with downloading it to the ATV2 itself and then SFTP-ing the file manually to your NAS after its done downloading or using the JDownloader set up to get a version of JDownloader running on another computer on your network to do the downloading. I.E. I believe the handoff to JDownloader does not require JDownloader to be running on the same computer you are watching XBMC on.

As I understand it.

Umm because your internet connection is too slow for streaming stuff at the quality you have selected. I don't think the premium account really helps much if your internet is too low or if a ton of people are hitting the same file at the same time, MU servers are still going to slow down.

Just a guess.

Is your ATV2 connected by wifi or by ethernet?

You can't download to an outside HD with atv. You could always save them from icefilms from firefox then watch them on your atv

by wifi but I tried a hard connection. I learned that megaupload slows down the streaming when you start to near your daily download limit or traffic is high. My speed is about 70 mbps.

Hi Peter,
Go to System on xbmc main menu, click right button, go to Files, then add source (smb for ex).... Then u will find it in the icefilms download location......using jdownloader could be a good option as well

Should be no need to do this

Instead try going to System->File Manager and add a new network location, which would be where the files are to be saved

Then try the download location via addon settings again, the new location should now show

This is the same issue when you want to do things like install from zip file where the zip file resides elsewhere, you need to add the location in the file manager first

hi all I'm still having problem with the add-on, I'm on win7 and dharma 10.
It's giving script error with premium acc but when I disable it I can go access the categories but it fails to load the contents.

Here is a copy of my log file as requested

Nevermind got it working! I had to disable the port in network settings. Excellent add-on, will it be possible for you to make one for oneclickmoviez. Very good for tvshows and new movies. Thank you for your work!

Well you learn something new every day. All this time I thought XBMC only worked as a passive SMB client, or to save fanart and nfo files to your folders, I had no idea it worked this way too.

Thanks.

Edit - Thats remarkable, you can add a networked drive not just as a media source but as a place to download to or source for add-on zips. I was not even aware of this menu area which is interesting because its also where you enable different profiles (so the kid can only access kid's content for example) which I knew was an option but never figured where to do it before. It works on an ATV1 too. Thanks again.
