I have a drive plugged into the airport and I can get to it via the finder. I can play and edit the songs in other programs.

How do I add it as a source in xbmc?

Mount it in finder.

The volume name is the name of the disk

In XBMC browse to volumes/diskname

To automount add the volume to autostart in configuration panel -> users -> login
