Apple TV 3.0.2 w/ XBMC SVN:35567 (default Confluence skin) installed via launcher 3.2.5 using wired ethernet on a gigabit LAN.

I have DVDs ripped using DVDFab (some just the main movie, other the whole disk, no compression) onto a Linkstation Live gigabit NAS using SMB shares.
Problem. On the AppleTV It takes about 45 seconds (you get the "Working" indicator in the bottom right) from the time you select the movie to play to the time it starts playing. For comparison it takes about 2-5 seconds to play the same ripped DVD (from the same NAS) on a Windows 7 PC running the same version of XBMC (SVN:35567). Any help would be appreciated.
