Missing Movies?
#1
i have a total of 425 movies, but only 309 show up in the Movies menu.
if i go to the Videos menu then the source folder the all my movies show up.
i am using themoviedb.com as my scraper, it does download the missing movie's information(thumbnails).

i have tried deleting my cache folder but no luck. I also tried switching to imdb.com as a scraper but made things much worse, movie titles appear blank.

here are the log files:
xbmc
http://pastebin.ca/2024305
xbmc.old
http://pastebin.ca/2024306

editConfusedorry forgot to add [WINDOWS] prefix, and post in correct section. can someone please move my thread to the right one.
using windows 7 64bit

First thing you want to do is upgrade your xbmc build, stable version - Dharma 10.0 has just been released. Download upgrade and rescrape, your movies. http://xbmc.org/download/.

Neither logs posted are debug logs - you need to set debugging from System\System\Debugging\Enable debugging, carry out a scrape and post the results.

Basically if your movie collection is in seperate folders with the movie name excatly matching the entry in themoviedb, then scraping should be OK.

thanks! updating and rescraping seemed to work for me, but for future refrence i couldn't find System\System\Debugging\Enable debugging

i looked in C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\system also C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\system

He was referring to Settings > System > Debugging from within xbmc. :-)

Similar problem here. Although, XBMC can see all the movies in file mode, but in library mode there is 1 movie mising. When in library mode it's like that movie does not exist.
But the bigger problem is TV Show library. It can see the every show, but almost all of the episodes are missing.

Here's the log file:

I'm not shure if I have to submit any other info. If so please let me know.
Oh! I'm running Dharma 10.0 on Win7 64.

Thanks

First off better to have a read here first http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=38964. Not trying to fob you off, but there is much to be learnt in there, particulalry regarding acceptable TV Show folder/file naming conventions. Having had a look at your log, I would guess that you have some considerable work to do to rename your folders/files to ones which scrapers will find episodes for.

Ideally a format like this will work

C:\TV Shows\Show Name\Season Number (though not needed if the Season and Episode number appear in the file name)\file name.ext

Content should then be set on TV Shows.

hey this is how i name my tv show files
example: Friends S01E01
folder layout: E:tv shows\friends
and so on works great for me

i'm missing 2 movies myself, make sure movies are spelled exactly like they are on thetvdb.com it's going to me fun for me sifting through over 400 movies...yay

edit:an easy way to find out which movies are missing:
videos>files>then your movie folder mark all your movies as unwatched, i had to manually do it, there's probably a faster way to do it in the settings menu.

now go to your movies library from the home screen and mark all the movies there as watched, i had to manually do this by pressing w again there is probably a faster way.

go back to the videos>files>movie folder and look for the movies without a checkmark and there you go

Thak you steelman1991 for trying to help. I admit that i should have read the "how to" thread more carefully. The thing is that I managed to retrieve movie info and files but the TV shows and anime are not seen in the library mode.
I've tried changing the names to show s1e1, show_s1e1, show e1, show 01,.. but still the library does not see them.

And I forgot to mention in the last post, and I'm not shure if it has anything to with the library problem; when I go to settings>TV, the TV button does not react. Nothing hapens.
To enter settings I have to go to video in home screen then right click on Show folder.

And I've just tried to move some single season shows to movie folder on the hard drive, re-scraped it and they work in library mode. There are separate drives for the shows and movies.

Perhaps a further read of the how-to thtread is required. The default naming convention for tv shows in xbmc requires leading zeros to the Season and Episodes (S01E01). This is clearly defined in the second section.

TV Shows and Movies have to be in seperate folders - see my previous post.
