its a 30mm cpu fan and so is naturally noisy but would like to hear how your system fairs.

Just jumping in on this:

The asrock ION 330 HT makes a lot of noise because of a louse fan-construction. I silenced my Asrock ION 330HT using this guide:

and have been enjoying the silence ever since.
