[WINDOWS] Why doesn't XBMC recognize that it needs to play in 1080p/24 mode?

Hello,

I have an asrock vision 3d connected with an hdmi 1.4a to my samsung ue40c8700 tv.

Now when i play a bluray with PowerDVD my tv switches to 1080p/24

But when i start xmbc i`m getting an error in big red letters that my resolution 1080p/60 isnt supported over a 1.4a hdmi cable.

The error is gone after a couple of seconds and i can start a movie. The problem is that i have alot of juddering...

When i change the input source name on my tv to "pc" the problem is gone, but so are alot of screen tweaking options.

Why doenst xmbc recognize that it needs to play in 1080p/24 mode?

Regards

Hans
