What would be a good AGP 1 video card to use for xbmc. I have it installed and all the words only show the top half of the word.

Thanks for your help.

There is no good AGP video card for XBMC. In 2011 AGP is literally worthless.

The ONLY videocard that can help older comps like that is this one:

That is a PCI (not PCI express, but old PCI) card that can play 1080p files in XBMC Live or Windows 7.

Decent AGP cards are pretty hard to find these days, but I'd look for something with an ATI HD 4xxx series chipset like maybe this:

Edit: not sure if you need low profile or not... if so, that obviously limits options as well.

NO NO NO

There are TONS of problems with those AMD 4xxx series AGP cards. Why? Because they are REALLY PCIe cards FORCED to work with AGP.

The equivalent is a race car with its axels held together with tape. I have heard from multiple people that have bought one only to have problems decoding content.

Seriously, in 2011 its a PCI 512mb 8400 GS or NOTHING for those old AGP systems.

I know AGP sucks compared to PCI Express, but curious why you'd opt for PCI over AGP.

Edit: LOL... Seems we are out of sync. hehe

Curious... anyone how do the GeForce 9400/9500 cards compare to the 8400?
