Question about Audio Setup
#1
Hello, I just installed XBMC 10 and I have a question about audio.
First, my specs:
Windows XP SP3
ATI Radeon 4300/4500 serie
Connected with a HDMI to
Onkyo 606 receiver.

In System option / Audio, if I choose HDMI only a few videos have sound, looks like everything encoded in aac or mp3 is fine. And everything in dts or dd I get a failed pop up and I need to switch to Analog to have the sound.
Anyone knows why I need to do that and is there a fix?
Thanks!

Box 2: Intel NUC D34010WYK (Windows afedchin's Krypton MVC Build)
Box 3: Vero 4K

Hi. I've a windows 7 setup (but do have a 607 and did have an ATI card) but suggest the following:

1. check you can get full channel audio from windows. check this through the sound control panel/properties
2. set xbmc to passthrough within settings/audio and select the number of speakers you have and what the receiver is capable of.
3. restart xbmc and you should be good to go.
