This is the first AMD Fusion chip, the product of AMD's acquisition of ATI in what has now become "many" years ago. I believe Brazos is the chip and chipset platform, Bobcat is the CPU/APU architecture, Zacate is the CPU/APU, E-350 is the exact chip model number. 1.6GHZ dual core and it's better than Atom:

Will this be the lowest power chip that can run XBMC flawlessly? Will the chip have flaws? Video output problems, audio problems, every platform has its quirks. We're still waiting for something without quirks. Let's hope Zotac sends a few XBMC developers the AD03 this month.

It look's like it is everything it promised to be:
- Lower power consumption than ION;
- Better CPU and GPU performance than ION;
- Better Flash performance than ION;
- Cheaper than ION;
- Better roadmap than ION.

Let's see what other AMD products will be announched @CES....

I am really excited about this development- how AMD is delivering on their promises. I want a 1080p outputting tablet sometime in the next couple of years, and Fusion seems to be the best bet to get there.

Yes I am also really excited about coming AMD products!! Not just for tablets; especially for HTPC usage.

We want low power consumption, CPU and GPU performance and low prices. AMD seems to have the best overall offer for 2011.

Agreed. I will admit I was skeptical at first because of all the promises that AMD made, but here we are- they weren't lying.

With Nvidia being locked out at a hardware level and Intel, well you know what I think of Intel's GPUs, AMD really does have a chance to be the HTPC leaders this year.

Tablets are the future though, and tablets are where I want to see this tech develop. ION's crazy power usage made it useless in tablets so we are currently stuck with underpowered (IMHO) ARM tablets like the iPad. I want a tablet that can REALLY replace my ION netbook 100%- and AMD will be the first to get there I think. And you know what that means- $$$$$

Looking back the AMD/ATI merger might have been the best thing to happen to the tech community in years.

Since the linux drivers of AMD still do not support HW decoding you would be doomed to run XBMC on windows.

I'm really interested in one of these. Too bad we haven't heard anything regarding release date or pricing.

Not great. Although, wouldn't you lose the use of the blu ray drive for movies if you ran Linux anyway? The built-in blu ray drive is one of the features of this particular unit. There will be cheaper options without it, I'm sure.
