Adding my own categories to the menu

Question
We all know the basic categories in XBMC (Dharma in my case): Movies, Music, Weather, Favourites....
What I want is, I want to be able to add my own categories to the menu, but they can be of the same type of an existing one. Let me explain: You have the categorie "Movies". Well, I would like to copy this category so that it has exactly the same features and possibilities as the original "Movies" category, but I should be able to rename it to for instance "Documentaries". This way I can have several identical categories (like Movies, Documentaries, Animated Movies, Music Movies) and yet they contain different items. Is there an easy way to create this kind of menu?

Hi,

Yes, it's very possible.

You might want to post this in the specific skin forum you're using as it's dependent on the skin.

For example:

Here's an old tutorial I wrote explaining how to do this - as well as rolling your own TV Channel:

Cheers!
