I'd like to see 2 things:

1. Slideshow with playlist support of both pictures and videos, and ability to add to queue.
   
2. Movies and TV shows with playlist support and ability to add to queue.
   

These requests are based on 3 core issues:

• Playlists work for music and music videos, but not with pictures or movies/TV shows. No support for movies in multiple parts or the ability to queue multiple TV shows.
  
• Picture slideshow doesn't have playlist support, nor can it display home videos. For a slideshow at a party, you need to copy all relevant stuff in a temporary folder...
  
• If you have a mobile phone or a camera that's less than 5 years old, you probably took the habit of taking pictures AND home videos of events, at a party, with kids, etc... Pictures and home videos shouldn't be treated differently.
  

Wouldn't it be simpler to avoid all these "corner cases" and have an common approach to all types of medias?

Excellent idea... I'm desperate for picture playlists since I usually take a lot of photo's, and don't want to show them all when having visitors.
