Hi team, if I put an 'add on' skin into the skins folder of an old XBMC (circa march 10) will it work at all?
You might reasonably tell me to go try but I will need to learn some more linux commands to get the skin upto my ATV so if it ain't gonna work I ain't gonna learn!

Wellll..
Long story short, I tried the crystalubuntu img thingy for ATV and its just so bloody nice I have to keep using it. I cannot get other versions to work and this particular image is from March. TBH I only want ellipsis.

mate, put simply all you need to do is enter IP addresses of the remote server rather than hostnames and then Ubuntu will resolve correctly. Obviously you'll need static IP reservations for your server.
