FTP: RAR's not playing, .avi works
#1
Hey,

I can't get xbmc to open and play RAR's over FTP, it opens the file and starts playing for a split second and then just stops. However I can play regular .avi files.
It worked before on my old xbox, which I don't have anymore.

I have changed the ip address, username and password Wink

Could you not unrar your files? I know its a pain, but most media files are already compressed, so RARing them will usually not make them much smaller (in fact sometimes recompressing compressed media makes it larger!).

I could, but yeah it's a pain, but it has worked with XBMC before, so maybe it's a configuration thing or a "bug".
