Slow revo
#1
Hey everyone, I bought a aspire revo r3610, 500gig, 4gig ram running win 7.

I did a format and first tried running xbmc live, it wasn't for me, I don't get lunix at all. I then reinstalled windows 7 with what I thought were the necessary drivers but the computer is really slow and often freezes during playback of 1080p hd movies.

Would anyone be nice enough to post a list of all the necessary drivers to make this revo run perfectly?

I don't mind doing another format and starting from scratch again, I just want to be able to use this thing, and right now it's not working like it should.

Thanks guys, I know I'm asking a lot but I need your help right now .

Take care.

*edit* It's not just xbmc that's the problem, the whole pc is slow. Takes 10 seconds to start internet explorer for example.

I'm running xbmc 10.0 with aeon mq 2.5.1 skin

Looking in my driver archive for the revo I find:

Audio_nVidia_v.1.00.00.55_WIN7x86x64
Chipset_Nvidia_15.45_Win7x86_AR3610
VGA_Nvidia_186.34_Win7x86_AR3610
WLAN_Atheros_v.8.0.0.171_WIN7x86x64
WLAN_Ralink(WN6602R)_1.1.3.17_W7x86x64_AR3610

I'm pretty certain these are all from the Acer web site.

Have you enabled hardware acceleration in XBMC? The setting is in System settings, Video, Playback. 1080p won't play on the 3610 unless DXVA is enabled.
