Hi just woundering if any one could help me with setting up my Philips RC197 Media Centre remote. I know i need to uninstall Lirc and use the irtrans driver but i could do with a little tutorial, as the ones iv come across are a little vaige and im quite a noob to linux.

I have the Ahanix mce301 case with vfd im not to worried about the vfd but would be nice to have that running also.

If some one could help and give steps for a clean setup of the remote running under Dharma live that would be great.

Then i think lcdproc (LCDd) is needed for VFD, new(ish) versions have irtrans driver included.
