Lightbulb  XBMC for Linux port to MIPS Processor Architecture (like Realtek media SoC chips)? Post: #1
So..

I just got given a revoview.. I was hoping I could mod it to have xbmc on boot but a friend seems to think it can't be done, has anyone got any words of wisdom for setting up the acer revoview for xbmc??

Fear not, for I have a cunning plan...

Swap your RevoView for a spanky new Revo 3700 and mount it to the back of your screen, all hidden like. Then, using nothing more than a sheet of black glossy paper, some sticky backed plastic and a pot of blue paint, fashion your very own RevoView and place it surreptitiously below your television. Surely the revoview isnt that bad, you shouldnt be so mean to the poor guy. Or his poor woman. She thought it would be an ace christmas present. How was she to know he would prefer to play with the cardboard box it came in? He should have specified which REVO he was after...

Good day gay.
a device with a MIPS 34K processor inside.
on the specification of this processor has two cores on 350Mhz
but unfortunately there is no support for opengl
it is possible to use XBMC?:confused2:

it runs at ridiculous speed on a hi-end cpu. go figure what those weak mips can do.

Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
