So..
I just got given a revoview.. I was hoping I could mod it to have xbmc on boot but a friend seems to think it can't be done, has anyone got any words of wisdom for setting up the acer revoview for xbmc??
XBMC for Linux port to MIPS Processor Architecture (like Realtek media SoC chips)?

Based on what I've been able to find out about it, I don't think that you can, sorry.

Fear not, for I have a cunning plan...
Swap your RevoView for a spanky new Revo 3700 and mount it to the back of your screen, all hidden like. Then, using nothing more than a sheet of black glossy paper, some sticky backed plastic and a pot of blue paint, fashion your very own RevoView and place it surreptitiously below your television. She'll never know... |

Surely the revoview isnt that bad, you shouldnt be so mean to the poor guy. Or his poor woman. She thought it would be an ace christmas present. How was she to know he would prefer to play with the cardboard box it came in? He should have specified which REVO he was after...

it runs at ridiculous speed on a hi-end cpu. go figure what those weak mips can do.
