Question
i have been looking all over the forums for an answer and no such luck. i called my friend who also loves xbmc and he doesn't get it either. this is my first post and Ive been using xbmc since at least 2007.

neway i got an .asx file that i changed into a .strm that i could launch in file mode. it randomly stopped working in xbmc but it worked in vlc.

so i called my friend and he emailed me a .strm that he created with a different url for the same stream. this .strm that he made played in vlc and xbmc at his place but it only works on vlc at my place. i checked the debug log at my place and it looks like this:

I get the same error. Presumably Dharma doesn't like something in the stream, though I note that the stream does work with mplayer. It might be worth posting a bug report on trac.xbmc.org.

To me worked well but with an issues that not all channels work. Reverting to 9.1 release all channels in the strm file works!
Have been unable to locate the fault since.
I had a thread with the issue but none was able or couldn't be arsed to look into.
As for today this is still an issue but i don't bother much since the channels that do not work (but does on VLC) aren't that good.
If only the devs would fix mpeg2 deinterlacing in DXVA...
