[RELEASE] PseudoTV Addon: Virtual EPG and TV Channel Surfing Script
For anyone out there that is using a Arctic MC001 I have managed to fix my problem below. I upgraded today's released version of OpenElec RC4 and it seems to have solved the problem. Please note if you are having trouble building channels I found that mapping the drives on boot using the OpenElec instructions seems to help PTV build channels. This is true for the RPI as well.

Works fine with SD shows and movies.

My past history with PTV is I have it working fine on the RPI and the HP n40L Just looking to get it working on a passively cooled system that has more power than the RPI.

How do I even turn logging on to post logs like other people on this thread.
Any way of setting the default language for movies played in pseudoTV? When I was a n00bie ripping my movie collection I ripped french/german audio files as the main track, and now it defaults to french when I'm flowing through pseudo.

Lastly, can pseudo work over UPNP somehow?
I've upgraded to frodo and stopped using SMB, because the advanced UPNP functions. However, I'm thinking about just going back to mysql + pseudo. Please correct me. Thanks.

Set your language/region in xbmc settings.

They should play in PTV..I have tons of stuff I captured to Divx from VHS back in the day and many of those are 240p. (320 x 240)

Make sure the index on them isn't broken. It could be the file-type. Stuff like 3GP and WEBM files don't function properly for me in PTV.

They are all .mp4 I believe. Any suggestions on how to fix broken indexes?
Thanks!
is there anyway in aeon nox 4.09 to change the appearance of psuedoTv? for example changing the logo in the top left corner? also making the info not display in the top left corner small like it is? I would prefer it in the bottom middle and bigger text much like a normal cable box.

Thats exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the link!

Removing this video solved the issue for me. So anyone with the same issue could give this a shot Smile

Hmmmm...if that's the case, that would REALLY suck! I only have several hundred scattered throughout my serverSad I'm having the exact same problem and can't get it to finish populating the channels on Frodo.

I think this guide should be the new default for PseudoTV. It's that good. There's a number of good changes tman12 would like to implement that would be a lot easier if it was.

It looks VERY nice. Hopefully, once I'm able to figure out what my issues are (with regards to continued failed channel population), I'll be able to take advantage of PTVSmile

Quick question. I'm able to get this to work by creating my own channels. The problem is....when I switch from channel to channel, some of the channels don't have sound. I'm going from Dolby Digital to 2.0 (usually the 2.0 is without sound). Any ideas??
is there a way to get sportsdevil or more specific the favorite i made of firstrowsports from sportsdevil to show all the various feeds as channels in psuedotv?
Having a lot of trouble with stable-pre in frodo. This is the error message in the log file. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I'm also still having problem with PTV loading my videos. It won't finish and usually chokes (I hear it's m2ts files causing this, maybe).

I have a TON of m2ts files in my collection. Does anybody know if there is a workaround for this? I REALLY want to get this working (with Frodo).

Thanks!!

Re-encode your videos to a different container.

You should probably try the development version.

PTV seems pretty picky about certain file-types. I've had some trouble with a few different ones myself. I've had some partial success with putting them in directories - in small quantities - and loading them as test channels. (For example: Some m2TS files may load, and others won't)

While they load - i pull up the log - and note each one that doesn't work (Freezes PTV) - and prevent those specific files from being loaded in PTV. It's tedious.

Of course, you may find that ALL of your m2TS (or any other file-type) files don't work - and then you're going to need a different solution.
