hi all!
i'm asking about a question regarding mp3 and the digital output.
when you select a mp3 to play, which is the digital format used in the digital (optical) output. is it pcm or compressed as mp3 directly??
i think it should be in the compressed form in order to let the external decoder to do the job with its improved dsp proccesing and maybe better resolution for each sample.
if xbox gives pcm format (i.e. software decode) you could get worse quality.
can anyone confirm this?
another question... can xbmc play dvd-audio discs??
thnx.
