I'm probably gonna go get one tomorrow :/

I wanna know if its gonna be able to sleep/wake directly into the xbmc app cos frankly I don't want to ever see/use iOS.

I got it installed on my iPhone 4, pretty incredible work if you ask me.

Just in case you are wondering, XBMC stores it's userdata folder in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/

I found out because I changed the resolution and got my self stuck with only a quarter of the interface visible. Deleting the guisettings.xml file got me back to normal. Tongue

Even if you get an ATV with 4.3.1, the tethered jailbreak is no big deal on the ATV2. The device never actually reboots, and never shuts off, it only goes to sleep, and that doesn't require you to tether to the computer to boot for the jailbreak when it comes out of sleep. Plug it into a battery backup and you are good. Only time you'd ever need to re-tether is if your UPS dies or you install some apps that might require a reboot, or it gets wonky with ram/cpu use.

Use Seas0nPass to jailbreak, easy and works great.

So w/ iPod or iPad will this enable users to play their content via vpn connection or would you have to be on the physical network? That could be extremely cool if you could watch your content anywhere.

This is legit. Does the atv2 version offer playback of local files (like an ext hdd) or is it streaming only?

How does Flash perform on ATV 2 ? Anyone tried the Hulu Plugin ?

Anyone tried the Hulu Plugin ? The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.
