Saw this on Engadget, http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/20/xbmc-...-apple-tv/

Looks like Davilla has been busy

Awesome! I literally just read this on Engadget. This is ridiculous.

Does it handle 1080p?

Pretty much everything that you can play on XBMC for <insert_platform_here> will work just fine.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

this is awesome!

My only questions with respect the atv2 are:

What kind of bitrate will it decode smoothly on 1080p video?

I have a concern about the 100 Mb wired ethernet with 1080p video on a file server.

Also, will it do auto frame rate detection?

Should be fine for streaming 1080p content, even native bluray.

I'm probably gonna go get one tomorrow :/

I wanna know if its gonna be able to sleep/wake directly into the xbmc app cos frankly I don't want to ever see/use iOS.

Firmware 4.1 can be jailbroken untethered from what I read?

I got it installed on my iPhone 4, pretty incredible work if you ask me.

Just in case you are wondering, XBMC stores it's userdata folder in /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/XBMC/userdata/

I found out because I changed the resolution and got my self stuck with only a quarter of the interface visible. Deleting the guisettings.xml file got me back to normal. Tongue
