xbmc RC1 scanned media then after restart times out
#1
i had deleted my database of movies and shows because of lots of duplicates and then i upgraded to RC1 rescanned and all media came back fine.
Then i quit xbmc and when i came back i realized i had not specified content for movies so i did that. Then i got nothing and now i can not get anything working. However if i go to NFS it seems to start to work but stops scanning shortly without scanning everything. I did have it on zeroconfig and has always worked fine.

Also xbmc now when quitting just sits there and does not actually quit back to the ATV2 menu

Code:
01:02:53 T:107794432   ERROR: LIBAFPCLIENT: Could not connect, never got a response to getstatus, Operation timed out
01:02:53 T:107794432   ERROR: AFP: Error connecting to afp://192.168.1.104:12548/Public/Shared Videos/Video/

You don't use NFS but AFP. Nothing more that i can read of that log because you didn't turn on Debugging as mentioned in the first link in my signature. Repost a log with debugging turned on.

here is that log you wanted

Here is something odd i just discovered. I can use AFP to my imac no problem. BUt when i do AFP to my NAS all the sudden doesnt seem to work with the ATV2 since the upgrade to EDEN RC1.
I can use NFS and see my files but the AFP it worked this morning as i scanned in some of my movies. But then when i came back to watch later it asked me if i wanted to delete the movies each one i clicked on saying it was no longer on the server. NOw when i go into browse and choose AFP i can get into the drive but i see no folders or anything. Only when i do it another way.

Hope that helps

Multiple things for you.

1. You have permission issues on your ATV2 - read the ios faq and fix them (its mentioned there what to do about it)
2. Don't use AFP you are one of the users where it doesn't work (i guess apple airport extreme or so?). Stick with NFS
3. Check your permissions on your nfs exported filesystem. I mean the permissions of your shared files ...
