I'm running Dharma 10.0 stable on Windows 7 x64.
I've been using handbrake to rip DVDs to M4V files using the default high profile settings. I've been embedding the english subtitle track as soft subs.
For some reason I get drastically different looking subtitles between playing the DVD, playing the ripped file in XBMC and playing the same ripped file in VLC:
DVD in XBMC:
M4V in XBMC:
M4V in VLC:
Messing with the subtitle settings in XBMC has no impact on how the subtitles in the m4v are displayed. I know that they don't impact the DVD subtitles, but shouldn't they impact the subtitles in the m4v?
How can I get the m4v subtitles looking cleaner?
