bug in new update?

i downloaded the new remote update on my archos 7ht tablet. the remote appears larger in landscape, but very distorted. the app crashes when i try to switch from now playing screen to the remote, which i do to show it in portrait mode. bug or just me?

Switching to the remote view when I have wifi off also crashes the app on my HTC Desire phone. Like the new lay out though!

A logfile would be great.

yeah, sorry about that. i've never done a debug log. if i turn on debugging does that create the debug file in the xbmc logfile ? it is the remote app that's crashing.

I have exactly the same problem as the OP. I also have an Archos 7HT and the remote control looks awful and distorted in v0.8.5-beta1. All of the buttons seem to work, it's just hideous.

The app crashes if I try to go to the remote control screen from portrait view instead of landscape. It also crashes if I try to turn gesture control on, although that's not surprising on the 7HT.

The old version looked perfect on the small tablet screen, it scaled really well.

I also have no idea how to get a logfile of an app crash on my tablet.
