acer revo single core ion

So I have the single core ion revo working well with windows 7 and xbmc, 2 gigs of memory. What I am wondering is if it would be worth upgrading to the new 1.8ghz jetway nettop with dual core? How much difference would I see going from the 1.6ghz ion revo single core to a 1.8 dual core with ion 2? I will run the same 2 gigs of memory and 32 bit windows 7. I have also thought of building a small dual core amd 45nm rig.. any input is appreciated..

i wouldn't change to buy another nettop...
if your willing to change, i agree with buying a small dual core amd rig... all the way....
a low cost HTPC could be using these parts:

[cpu] Athlon X2 3.0GHz AM3 65W ($60) http://fwd4.me/u0U
[ram] GeIL 2 x 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 1066 CL7 ($40) http://fwd4.me/u0V
[mobo] MSI AM3 USB2 MicroATX ($60) http://fwd4.me/u0W
[gpu] ASUS HD5450 512MB DDR2 64-bit Low Profile ($35 + $0 - $15 MIR) http://fwd4.me/u0b
[case + psu] Sentey SS1-2422 MicroATX 450W ($52) http://fwd4.me/u0Y

What are you doing with the machine?

Have you considered running XBMC Live instead?

if looking to keep it small and power use down, maybe one of the ulv cpu based zbox's, alot more horsepower then an atom dual core

Zotac ZBOX HD-ND22

looks good, but the gpu comes up at 75 bucks.. would it be ok to go with a mobo with nvidea video built in? if so can you recommend one? I'll be going with windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, so I guess 2 gigs is enough? I have a hard drive already, and i'll use a external dvd drive to load the OS. how loud do you think that cpu fan will be in a small case? again any input appreciated very much!
