Are you sure about that?

DxVA is part of the OS, WinXP (VMR9) is DxVA1.0 and Vista/Win7 (EVR) is DxVA 2.0 based.

MPC-HC (like XBMC direct show) player need to use correct renderer to make DxVA working.

This mean DxVA 1.0 is used only on WinXP, and DxVA 2.0 renderer (EVR) on Vista/Win. It is not possible to use DxVA 1.0 for h.264/VC-1 on Vista/Win7.

The VLC options indicate that it does have hardware acceleration enabled.
