ATV2 - Help installing a plugin
#1
Hi

I've had a look around but can't seem to find any info. I'm trying to install a pelisalacarta video plugin which updates it from 2.18 to 2.20. I've downloaded the 2.20 zipped file to my Mac but now need someone who could kindly give me the instructions /commands in Terminal to 'route' this zipped file from my Mac to the correct directory in the ATV2 so that when I go to the configurations of the pelisalacarta Video Add-on I can unzip and update the plugin. My understanding of line command is amateurish so I would appreciate a fairly step by step guide (I have managed to JB with seas0npass and install XBMC, so my knowledge is ok I guess!!)

Many thanks

Put it a folder where xbmc can read it and "Install from zip file" in xbmc.
The normal XBMC log IS NOT a debug log, to enable debug logging you must toggle it on under XBMC Settings - System or in advancedsettings.xml. Use XBMC Debug Log Addon to retrieve it.

In a folder, where? On my Mac?

If in a folder in xbmc in the ATV2, how do I send it there?

Apologies for being so dum about this!

Many thanks

Hi Mate

If you are using a Mac use cyberduck to SFTP into the Apple TV and copy it there.

default username is root
default password is alpine.

Thanks in any case to everyone else.
