[LIVE] XBMC Live + Unraid (closing the stopgap)

To make a long story short, poofhairguy signature show me just a new world!!!

I need some advice on a htpc front end to run xbmc live.

Mobo: Zotac H55itx-a-e Lga 1156 Intel H55 Hdmi Mini Itx
CPU: Amd Athlon Ii X2 250 3.0ghz Box Am3
RAM: Corsair 4gb ( 2 x 2gb ) ddr3 1600 C9
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-430CX
GPU: Geforce Gt 430 1gb Ddr3 128bits - Pci-e 2.0 Evga Directx 11
Case: Silverstone Sugo SG07 - Preto - CS-SST-SG07B
SDD: Hd Ssd Kingston 128gb V Series

Is this a good setup to xbmc live? I know 4 gb is overkill, but I have them already... I live in Brazil, so I don't have all the options you guys have, at least, not without waiting from 20 to 30 days...

I will post on unraid forums, but any advice would be nice to the media server:

Mobo: Asus M4A88T-M
CPU: AMD Sempron 145
RAM: 2gb DDR 3 1066 PC3 8500
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-430CX
Case: Zalman Z7
HDs: 5 x WD20EARS 2TERA GREEN POWER
Cache: Huh

that mobo and that CPU won't work together. The motherboard is designed to work with socket LGA1156 Intel CPU's, while the CPU is an AMD with socket AM3. You'll have change the motherboard or the CPU to match together.

I would suggest changing the CPU to an Intel Core i3 530 or similar. Also, I find the SSD is overkill, 128gb is too much for a front end only machine. For live, 30gb is enough.

Last comment about the Frontend is: do you need? Such a frontend is nice, sure, but if you only plan on using it for xbmc it's a bit overkill. On the other side it's very future proof.

The unraid build seems fine, though I'm no unraid expert.
