My videos are simply on my desktop in a folder called "Movies" my macbook pro. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to have the movies stream on my atv2 with xbmc?
Do I go into "video" then "add source"? What do I enter after that? Do I need my ip address? What do I type in exactly?
I have been spending the whole day trying to figure it out.
[ATV2] XBMC Installed. Where are my videos?

First you need to share the media from your macbook pro, read the section on this page about sharing on Mac
http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Mac...ac_OS_X.29 You then need to add a source as you said, make sure you use Windows Sharing (SMB) as the type and browse to your mac and select your share, it will ask you for your mac username and password that you will have seen in the steps from that above article. Set the content type as movies and your off to the races. There is lots of help on this topic in the forums here so dont be afraid to search as well.

Thanks for your help Valkur!
It says that Windows users can access your computer at \\x.x.x.x\youraccountsusername If my computer user name is: dapeegoo and my ip address is 120.102.0.100 So when I "add source", do I type in "\\120.102.100\dapeegoo"? |
