[AppleTV2/iOS] Unofficial builds for testing! NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED
hehe...amet, you are an evil man teasing the masses like this.
I sorted it out. Not exactly sure what happend.
I installed this file http://dl.dropbox.com/u/415769/org.xbmc-...v2-arm.deb, but I guess something must have went wrong during install, although I didn't get any messages. Remote keymapping didn't work as expected (on atv remote) and the box crasched a lot. Got a lot of this logdetails like this and then it crasched:

****log c/p removed****

Anyway, it works after a clean reinstall of latest release.

Alright guys, the time has come: The annoyance of this thread has outweighed it's usefulness.

1st of all, VERY FEW IS POSTING LOGS. For the guys who followed:
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=92480
Thank you.

Without posting a log, mentioning an issue is almost impossible to help track down. And as evidenced in this thread, many of you guys don't understand that.

So please, I can't emphasis this enough. Post Debug logs. Try out your files on osx/win/linux builds to validate it's an iOS issue. Do legwork yourself.

DO NOT POST 'Me too!@#' '+1' type threads. They don't help anyone, esp in this thread. If you see someone has a problem similar to yours in someone elses thread, make a new thread and link there old one. Please break the habit of posting these types of threads, doesn't help anyone.

Now, moving forward:
As most of you have heard, the XBMC team has started the up hill battle to merging this iOS branch back with TRUNK.

For those of you who don't know what this means, consult:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Branching_%28software%29
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trunk_%28software%29
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merge_%28re...control%29
If anyone wants to see the merge in action: http://trac.xbmc.org/timeline

So essentially XBMC folks are just 'bringing everything back' into 'one roof'.
In the meantime, I might do builds, I might not. If I do, I will start a new thread. There's so many moving pieces right now on the merge, I'm not sure of its usefulness and I want to make sure that this is an assist to the devs, and not a burden like it has started to become.

So thank you, everyone that is helping, esp the ircers that I try to talk to everyday.

Davilla, amet, gimli and the rest of the XBMC Team: You guys are the greatest. Your tireless commitment to an unpaid project is above and beyond the traditional open source project and I honestly don't know how you guys do it/put it with all of it.
Memphiz, Dazex and all the guys submitting code, hats off to you guys too, this is what open source is about.
To everyone else who answered questions, helpfully provided logs/etc with issues and have patience for what lies ahead, I say me too! But remember the patience part. Smile

And remember guys, if you just dont have time to help in any other way or got some extra bucks in your pocket, DONATE! Any little bit will help buy new hardware/goto trade shows/build awareness of the project.
Let's keep the cycle going.

I love this community.
