DXVA2 Video acceleration with Win7 64bit with NVidia
#1
Hello, I'm having a problem getting XBMC video hardware acceleration working with my computer. Here is my brief configuration:

Windows Vista - 64bit (HP Pavillion)
XBMC version 10.0 (from http://xbmc.org/download/)
NVidia 9100 GPU

When I play a hi-def file with DXVA2 acceleration enabled, the screen flashes green for a 1/2 second then goes black. The video appears to be playing as I can hear the audio...but the black screen remains.

I have uploaded a debug log here:

For now, I will continue to use the external MPC-HC player. I've also tested Boxee and MediaPortal and they also play using DXVA acceleration without any problems.

Thanks for all your hard work on this excellent program!

What file were you playing? That way I can do a cntrl + f to find where it's attempting to play....

Cheers....

steppedup, I'm trying to play various .m2ts files created by my Sony Camcorder.

you need to upgrade to a git release which fixes m2ts issues.
