I figured that this might do best in a separate thread.
I am currently using the trakt.tv addon to keep track of all of my movie and tv shows. I run into a strange problem however whenever the devs release an updated version of the plugin.
Whenever an update is released, trakt disappears from the installed program addons as if it was never installed. If I don't happen to notice that the plugin isn't working, and I restart xbmc for some reason, i get an error on startup about the trakt script failing (it starts on xbmc startup). I then have to manually go to the 'get addons' and reinstall it for it to work again. After I reinstall, all of my preferences and username/password are still there however.
I also run into the problem with the skin I am using 'cirrus extended'. The only thing that I can think of is that xbmc has problems updating addons that are currently running?
