If your looking to use an Xbox its the 1st generation Xbox only... which is still a fantastic SD media centre I hasten to add... if HD is your bag then ION based units such as Revo, ZBOX and Shuttle seem to be the go.

A Dell Zino plus Windows 7 plus XBMC would work pretty well...
