new build questions
#1
so i'm working on a new build and i'm wondering who out there has a case with a lcd... and if it's even worth it to pursue something like that?

i'm looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product

but think for that price i could build my own. should i go the mini-itx or micro-atx route?

my only real requirements are the ability to play 1080p; hdmi, gigabit ethernet, and bluetooth. (i'm most likely going to store the media on another server in the house using openfiler or freenas and a LOT of disks ...probably around the 10-20tb range). i'm also not opposed to running either ubuntu or gentoo on the system.

Micro-atx is probably the better route, as the same performance can be had for cheaper.

And yes, you can get everything you want for under $350, or you get right up to $350 and really eclipse the lenovo's performance.

I've got one of those iMon LCD/VFD things, like the one that comes with the Antec case. IMO, it's pretty much worthless and I wouldn't do it again.
