ok, i suck at python but here is an idea you guys can make with the newest tivo2go stuff. any tivo that runs the new software version can be logged onto via simple https:

you could make a script to show what is on your now playing list, and then play the .tivo (mpg2) file. you would just have to enter your tivo accesskey and pw in the setup.

or even simplier is if someone could make aomething to just play the .tivo files from your pc once you dl from the tivo.

i'll paly with this once i get my software update.

after more research i found a good way to convert from .tivo to .mpg that should work at least to watch.

that has been tested with xbmc

anyhow - i recommend modding the tivo and just using its modable features like you would on the xbox... or simply convert your tivo to mpeg or avi or some other format, and setup streaming.. i dont know if you can mod a tivo to work on a samba network (i dont own tivo), but if you could... do that... if .tivo is the same as .mpg but with diff extension, but file is exactly the same... then i would recommend just writing a renaming script.

as i said, i do not have a need for that... i use my home network to access all my media from my xbox... i have a brother, he does the same.

now, if someone could get xbox to work with the comcast dvr, then i would be very happy... but that wont happen anytime soon.


or simple directions:

use mythtv or whatever it is, and get a tv tuner card... stream the videos to your xbox.. again, i have never used mythtv... but it is worth a try.
