Web Server Options

Afternoon,

My current setup is XBMC on my Lounge TV and Bedroom TV via 2 computers. I then have a Windows 2008R2 Server which has all of my media files shared on it.

To organise my media I use Ember to keep it all organised.

What can I use to create a website for myself to use that allows me to view my media. I don't actually want to watch it over the internet, more see what I have on the server on both PCs and iPhones.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Media front page is your best bet. That will provide you with the HTML and CSS files you need.

As for software, the most established opensource web server is Apache but there are also some apache variants that are a little easier to work with for people who just want a simple site (XAMPP for example).

After that you will need a domain. You can get a free domain from some where like http://www.dyndns.com (or similar).

i think what he is looking to do is view the media on the XBMC remotely, that is easy, it's built into XBMC, just goto network settings and enable the webserver, then goto http://YourComputerIP

that will bring it up, there are a few different skins u can download from withing XBMC for this as well that can add more functionality
