Crash when scraping TV Shows
#1
As per the title, when I select auto update video library in Settings & start XBMC, the entire thing crashes.

Sometimes it stops completely, others its just blocks off random sections of the screen so you can only see a small portion making it unusable.

If I switch the library updating off, it runs perfectly.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Here's a log of it hanging (no problems with the screen going black this time just hanging then crashed):

Unsure how to post, too many characters, so uploaded it.

For future reference, having to wait xxx seconds to download from this type of sharing site, then having to type some obscure passphrase severely taxes my philanthropic urges. Please use pastebin.com or some other similar site that doesn't put obstacles in our way.

Anyhow, the error is presumably:

ERROR: exception in CApplication::Render()
ERROR: m_pD3DDevice->BeginScene() failed. 8876086C - D3DERR_INVALIDCALL (Invalid call)

That is a very odd error. I've never seen DirectX errors while just rendering the XBMC screens. It's especially odd because the 9500GT is about as standard as NVIDIA cards get. It might be worth downloading and running the DirectX installer from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...ceb6d8fa8d to make sure you have the latest version. Also check wht version of the NVIDIA drivers you have and maybe download the latest version from http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx.

Haha, noted, & thank you for persisting with your philanthropy long enough to help, it is most appreciated. In future pastebin will be used, I wasn't aware something existed for such a task.

I'll reinstall the drivers for the 9500 when I get home from the daily grind, hopefully that'll do the trick.
