ahh thanks dude, Is there a codec pack you can get with XMBC ? because when i play with media player its heaps louder with the k-lite codec pack but xmbc is quiet as..

XBMC uses just it's own built-in codecs. But check your Settings in System->System->Audio-Hardware "Raise Volume on Downmix".
