[LIVE] Blu-ray Folder Support
#1
Hello all!

I have been using xbmc for windows, and recently set up an atom box with XMBC Live. The issue that i have run into is that it doesn't seem to support blu-ray folder structure for the library or playback. Is there a way to add this to the Live version of xbmc. I not good with linux, so i would need help.

Hi
Do a search for makemkv in this forum
blu-ray support under live is very minimal at best but doable
Only real issue is there is no free way to do it (that Ive found) makemkv is free during beta but will be payware once finished

I'm sorry, I should have been clearer.

I have a collection of ripped blurays on a server. They are all ripped to folder structure, and i wanted to play them back under xbmc live.

Unless you remux the audio and video streams in those folders to an MKV, they won't play as XBMC Live does not include the necessary libraries to parse Blu-Ray folders (also known as libbluray).

There is a special Dharma build floating around that has libbluray compiled in but I wouldn't know how to install it.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! hokay me comprende Smile
I like the mkv way, no adds no menus straight into the blu-ray movie and ya can stick the added bloatware.
thanks ...it s a good day when ya learn something.

So i spent all today, trying to make this work. I followed every directions I found. I managed to install XBMC from a PPA that supported blu-ray, but it killed my Live install each time. I'm about to give up on this. Anyone know a pre-made ISO that already supports this.

Hi
Are you going for the plug in or native support?
If plug in try this http://bloggingabout.com/bluray-playback...lugin.html
BUT! its a bit dated so you have to use the current file names and DONT do sudo apt-get upgrade Smile

I actually managed to finally get it all working!

I am running the current downloadable version of XMBC Live. I used X3lectric excellent instructions on how to compile XBMC from source, and then used the parts from Hudo's thread about how to install liblurary, and the proper flags for ./configure. Wooot!
