What about this Hitcher?
I used your sketches as a base, but kept it close to the orginal boxee logo.
I am not happy yet with the letters 'xeebo yet, so i can make it more close if you like.
It's used Adobe Illustrator for it.

If you make the background colour the same as in my attempt, along with the same letter style and in white then I think I've found the perfect one.
