720p stuttering / choppy since upgrade to Dharma 10.0
#1
Ever since I upgraded to Dharma, my 720p tv shows are playing choppy and really stuttering - making them unwatchable.

Here's the info: let me know if I forgot something.

XMBC 10.0 svn-35648
Macbook Pro 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo, 2GB 667 DDR2
(video out to fully HD compliant TV)
OSX 10.5.8

Nothing changed - still just as choppy. However, there seems to be good periods (stays at 25 fps) and bad periods - some around 21fps, and some at between 10-15fps. and it doesn't seem to correlate to action vs. no action... seems related to something I can't see (queues?)

disable 'script.recentlyadded'

look at 'top -o cpu' when xbmc is playing a video, what is the percent idle value?

I disabled the 'recently added' via the 'skin-home window' options screen.

'Top' is showing roughly between 30% idle for average scenes. 30% seems to have a few drops. More complex scenes, it gets down to 20% with quite noticeable skips/drops.
other videos (avi) have cpu idle at around 70%
