Thanks for this post. I'm starting to plan my first HTPC. This is the perfect guide to get me started.

Any motherboards with integrated Nvidia GFX that you would recommend? Just trying to keep costs low and save a few bucks on an external video card. Or is this a bad idea?

Outside of 775 CPUs, there aren't any decent mobos with Nvidia GPUs built in. Intel and AMD killed that market.
