I am thinking of getting a Apple TV2 and connecting a 2tb drive to my wifi router but I wont be able to write to the hard drive, something to do with the file structure wont let it work with my wifi unit. Have to used the file structure to allow files bigger than 4gb. If I used fat32 it can write.
How do I update the movie info or do I need to connect to me laptop and run xbmc from there and then reconnect it to wifi.

Hope this makes sense, basically where is the file info stored.

File info, i.e. the database, fanart etc, is stored on the Apple TV. The films themselves are obviously not stored on the ATV as you wouldn't get too many 1080p rips in the 16GB memory.
