Suggest any good stand alone TV/PVR for Windows?
#1
Im looking to see if anyone can recommend a stand alone TV/PVR program that I can launch from XBMC.

Right now I have Win7 Media center and found a couple apps that integrate XBMC into the Menu system of MCE. The issue is, half the time when your done with XBMC and exit back to MCE to watch live TV, well XBMC Hangs during exit and you get stuck with a big black screen and can't even ctrl-alt-del out of it.

I'm very close to just switching over to MythTV/XBMC but wanted to make sure there wasn't a Windows solution since I'm already setup for that successfully.

I would love to have something I can launch from XBMC.

Thanks

I'm using SageTV and have been pretty happy with it. It's about $80 to purchase and has been much more stable for me than WMC ever was. There is also a script to pull recordings from SageTV and move them to XBMC, so the only time I actually go into the SageTV program is to setup a new recording or watch a little live TV.

There's also the MediaPortal backend being developed specifically for windows.

The documentation on it is pretty weak so far, but it's the best we've got at this time for Windows.

Are there any Linux equivalents to SageTV or BeyondTV that are free?
