I really like AEON but it runs sluggishly on my Acer Revo (I am using the MQ version). I've tried installing as much as my media as possible on the Revo rather than a network drive but it still runs slowly?

1 Is there another skin that displays the images of my media on the homescreen? I tried the NOX version but I couldn't find the setting

2 Is there another version of AEOn that's less intensive which I can try?

3 Would another 2GB of RAM help?

Also I uninstalled the Trakt plugin but XBMC keeps saying the Trakt script is failing. How do I manually delete it?

Try Neon. It draws heavily off of aeon, hence the name. Sort of a combination of Night and Neon. It seems to be snappier for me than aeon though.
