HDHomerun + Mythbuntu in VMWare on Win 7 machine + ATV2 with XBMC
#1
I installed Mythbuntu in VMWare on a Win 7 machine, setup a backend server with HDHomerun support. I want to know if recorded TV shows from this backend could possibly be watched in XBMC on an ATV2 using Mythbox add-on. I am having trouble getting Mythbox frontend in XBMC to see the backend. I can see the backend on my Macbook shares so I know the server is working. It appears to be an issue with VMWare network address. Does anyone know if this will actually work or am I wasting my time. If this would work does anyone know how I need to have the network card setup in VMWare for this to work correctly?

I installed Mythbuntu on a ESXi virtual server with two dual tuner HDHRs feeding Mythbox on 2 XBMCLive systems. It all worked fine. I could schedule recordings and play them as well as live TV. This was all OTA.

I ended removing it all though, as my wife does a lot of live viewing and she needed the previous channel capability which Mythbox doesn't offer.
