Hi all,

I have a couple of axis 1031 camera's and wonder if those can be viewed from within a jailbroken ATV2?
Would be nice from either XBMC or the main menu of the apple tv to be able to get it showing (web)cams. Dunno if it is possible to add sections to the menu bar of atv2.

I have a Foscam and did the following:
Create a textfile with .strm extension (webcam.strm)
the file contains:
h ttp://ipaddress_of_cam/videostream.asf?user=xxx&pwd=xxx

Thats all.

Just add the strm file as a video source, select and voila...

I've tried the method you described JW but no dice...
Any other suggestions?

Check your camera manual and find out what the http url is to receive a video stream. try that one in VLC and if it works, paste it in the webcam.strm
