Unable to change views

I'm a newbie to XBMC, and am having difficulty changing viewtypes. Using the latest Aeon skin on a Mac.

I've tried pressing the right and left buttons within the TV file list (used to bring up a menu which now seems disabled), and explored the menu that pops up when you press "C."

The TV Show viewtype under Settings is set to Showcase. Everything else is turned off. Somehow I'm still seeing this when I browse episodes (similar screen shows up when I browse titles):


From reading various posts, it sounds like I'm having trouble toggling between File and Library modes. I can toggle a simpler file view, but have never been able to activate a non-list view.

Any help would be very much appreciated. I'll post here if I find an answer elsewhere on the internet.

Did you try these beta xmls?

Just replace them in the 720p folder of the skin...

I am also having the same issue and the link to beta xmls gives a 404

I had this same issue, but after I disabled Kiosk mode it all worked again...

Having the same issue, I verified Kiosk mode is turned off. My movie section is set to library mode. Changing view types is not doing anything for me.

I am also having the same issue. I can change views in other skins, but not with Aeon MQ2. Kiosk mode is off.

It's actually working for me now. Noob error on my part, I was using the XMBC controller for the iphone and I wasn't able to select the "View" option correctly. Did you try bringing up the side menu while your in your collection kalt? You will see "View" at the top of the menu. Probably will say "View List". Select that then you will see left and right arrows where you choose what view you activated for view types.

I was under the impression that when you activate those views types under the settings section that they would automatically kick in.
